As this day ends

watching it close

I reminisce 

of lives once lived

of dreams lost

of moments left to be

forgotten

This is my end

It comes unseen

Leaving no traces

Swept away

I lost my joy

dwelling in misery

the world passes by

leaving me miserable

alone to cry

provide enough desire

to crave the warmth

the stars align 

twisting our fates

rippling, 

through future histories

still, yet rippling 

calm, yet the intensity

tears me apart, 

driving me wild,

leaving a wake of emotions

unfufilled and bewildered

I look out

to the distant shores

and I wish

to be there,

where I envision 

change.

but knowing, 

the illusion

that distance creates

lost in a sweet reverie

before the fall

fragments of my mind

dare to touch

the wells of hope

dragging me out of this

forlorn, broken 

hole inside me
